	Associate Trainers SEQM utilise a team of associate trainers to help deliver the SEQM training course portfolio. All our trainers can draw on their experience in various disciplines and industry sectors to complement the subject matter being delivered.

	Colin G. Hayes HD C Chem., AIIRSM, IEMA Colin Hayes, a registered Lead EMS and Environmental Auditor, studied chemistry and analytical sciences before joining the Royal Air Force as an avionics / aerospace engineer. He was heavily involved from an early stage in Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality control systems and was an instructor on the fighter aircraft fleet. He was selected for contract monitoring duties and extended his experience of management and audit in QHSE management and security systems within the UK Air Defence support contract. Leaving the RAF after 16 years service, Colin has applied his knowledge to the oil and gas sector in particular, but for the majority of the last six years has been associated with many other industry sectors including food and drink, pharmaceuticals, engineering, manufacturing, sub sea, aquaculture and marine based projects, concentrating on legal and corporate compliance auditing, training in all facets of QHSE and management system support tasks. Colin is the Managing Director of a specialist QHSE service provider that specialises in support, audit and training delivery for industry, certification bodies and consultancies worldwide.

	Andy Clements Working with SEQM as an associate, Andy has been a self employed Health & Safety Consultant since 1996, during which time he has worked with a wide range of organisations, from small companies to multi-nationals. Andy is a qualified engineer who has spent much of his working life in industry in a variety of manufacturing engineering and management roles, all of which involved Health & Safety at Work. Andy has spent the last 15 years involved directly with Health & Safety, and has a Diploma in Safety Management, Membership of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management, membership of the mechanical section of the Institute of Electrical Engineers and is an Incorporated Engineer. Andy’s key strength is his combination of experience of working in industry, technical knowledge and a passionate belief in the importance of good Health & Safety practice as a business tool.

	Les Hulings Les is registered with the International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA) and the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) to deliver a range of occupational health & safety training courses. Les has extensive experience in both the Chemical and Healthcare sectors, working for both Unilever and the NHS. He has worked as a Safety & Environment Advisor for Unilever for 14 years, helping the European business group achieve certification to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems, which included permit to work procedures and training in contractor management. Working for the NHS as consultant Health & Safety advisor, Les has provided safe systems of work consultancy, conducted risk assessments and safety auditing, and consulted on risk management techniques including the management of medical devices. Les has also carried out several internal OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 management system audits on behalf of SEQM. He has been involved in auditing 3rd party contractors and 3rd party manufacturing sites for SEQM, helping to improve safety and environmental standards for both contractors working on site as well as within 3rd party operations. Les has delivered several Manual Handling ‘Train the Trainer’ courses for the Ministry Of Defence, all of which have generated positive feedback.
