JULIAN RINGER Dip TP MRTPI CEnv MIEMA

Julian is a Chartered Town and Country Planner and a Chartered Environmentalist. He established Safety, Environment and Quality Management (SEQM) Ltd in 1994. As Managing Director he continues to be involved in environmental consultancy and training, specialising in environmental management, auditing and impact assessment. He is an environmental certifier for a number of certification bodies and is a registered EMAS verifier for industry and local government.

From 1989 to 1993 Julian worked as a consultant and latterly as a Technical Director at ERM, where he specialised in EIA and environmental auditing. Between 1986 and 1989 Julian was a Senior Planner at Gateshead Council and between 1979 and 1986 was Countryside, Recreation and Leisure Officer at Tyne and Wear County Council.

In 2008 he was elected Junior Vice Chairman of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Northern Region.
 
 
CARMEL CAMPBELL BEng MSc AIEMA

Carmel has over 6 years experience as an environmental consultant. She has been involved with the development of ISO14001 within organisations, internal audits, and the delivery of environmental training to all levels of management from MD to shop floor/site staff. Carmel has particular experience in energy efficiency, waste and recycling advise, green business development and development and delivery of environmental training. Carmel recently developed a 10-day IEMA approved Associate Membership Certificate course and has both managed projects and delivered various funded (mainly landfill tax and European funding) resource efficiency and renewable energy initiatives with SMEs throughout the UK and Ireland.
 
   

DEMELZA CATTANACH BSc

Demelza joined SEQM as Training Co-ordinator in November 2007.

Since completing a degree in Information and Communication Management. Demelza has been involved in training, working with Northumberland County Libraries, Newcastle City Council and a number of other businesses.

 
     

OLIVER HEIDRICH PhD MSc Dipl-Ing

For more than 15 years Oliver is working with national and international companies, local authorities and Universities in the fields of waste, environmental and corporate management. He developed and implemented various municipal and industrial waste and environmental management strategies for companies, City Councils, Regions and Countries (e.g. Iran, Germany, Taiwan and UK).

Oliver has joined SEQM from Newcastle University, where he was responsible for Business Development across the School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences and the teaching of Environmental Engineering. In the latter role he taught undergraduate, postgraduate and professionals in the areas of waste management, Corporate Social Responsibility as well as the design and application of life cycle assessment models.

 
     

MICHAEL NEWIES BA MBA PGDip Chartered MCIPD

Michael has spent more than a decade working with some of the world’s largest and most prestigious organisations. A seasoned project manager and management consultant, he specialises in learning and organisational development in both public and private sector settings.

Before joining SEQM, Michael enjoyed several years with PwC Management Consulting Services and IBM Global Business Services. He also spent 6 years with NHS Scotland during which Michael’s team won a national award, one recognising its work in introducing blended learning into one of Scotland’s busiest NHS Trusts.
