IEMA Internal EMS Auditor Course

Aims & Objectives

This 3-day course is designed to:

• Equip individuals with a working understanding of the EMS audit process and how it should be applied to their own organisation’s EMS

Why this course?

On completion of this course delegates will possess an understanding of:

• Environmental Management Systems

• EMS auditing

• The principles of auditing

• The internal audit process

• Environmental legislation and regulation

• Environmental aspects and impacts

• How to obtain and utilise effectively future information and advice

This course offers real benefit to a delegate’s organisation, equipping delegates with the ability to participate in an audit of the organisation’s EMS to establish:

• Whether it is efficient and effective

• Whether it meets the organisation’s objectives and targets

• Whether it meets the organisation’s environmental policy

• Whether and how the EMS can be improved

All delegates who have successfully completed this IEMA approved course will gain credit towards Environmental Auditor Registration on the IEMA Environmental Auditor Register. Those gaining more than 70% gain six points towards registration.
