IEMA Introduction to Environmental Management Systems Course

Aims & Objectives

This 2-day course is designed to:

• Provide delegates with information on why an EMS should be implemented, a summary on the EMS Standards available and the main elements that comprise these

Why this course?

On completion of this course delegates will possess an understanding of:

• The background of EMAS and the ISO 14000 series

• The key components of ISO 14001

• The key components of EMAS

• Interface between EMAS, ISO 14000 and other management systems

• How to obtain and utilise effectively future information and advice

All delegates who have successfully completed this IEMA approved course will gain credit towards Environmental Auditor Registration on the IEMA Environmental Auditor Register. Those gaining more than 70% will gain five points towards registration.
